About Us

Neither Elrood Sector nor the 'Tales of the Freespirit' campaign would be as enjoyable for me (and, hopefully, you too) without the contributions of these fine people. Here follow some short biographies on the contributors, along with email links, if you'd like to contact anyone. A heartfelt thanks goes to everyone listed here!

John Arnold - player, Avery Kranzt

He has been playing rpg's for 8 years starting with D&D 2nd edition, and is currently working on a Star Wars website that will focus on his own campaign, and pirates.

Johnny Hartmann - player, Mirren Anjivar Resh

Johnny Hartmann was born at a very young age and lived for a number of years. Most of the games he's played were for his own amusement, and the aggravation others. The roleplaying games he has played in are Star Wars (of course), D&D, Battletech, and 'the Schoolteacher and the Naughty Boy'. It is expected Johnny will die some day, however no one is willing to put money on it. Johnny began playing Star Wars because no one is willing to let him touch a real gun.

Thomas 'OverLord' Madsen - d20 conversion specialist

Thomas is 23 years old, and lives in Bergen, Norway. He started playing Star Wars rpg in '96 and has played many different rpg's since then. He is now Gamemaster in a Star Wars d20 campaign that started in the Old Republic, and will end in the New Jedi Order (with some very old characters).

Dave Myatt - illustrator

Dave Myatt lives in Vancouver BC, where he writes and draws independent comics. He, together with Morgan Purdie, created the very first internet comic with their now-classic Jawa Force . Dave's work can usually be seen as ink work over Allan Whincup's incredible, Kirby-esque pencils. Together they work on Jawa Force, Awesome Comics' Outpost, and soon on The Planet Farthest From and The Justus Project.

Amanda Price, S.W.A.G. - illustrator

Amanda lives in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada, where she's busy learning the ins and outs of Photoshop 7. A performer by trade, she creates her art during the day, while all the normal people go to work. When not preoccupied with these two pursuits, she spends her off hours playing the Playstation, and making sure her husband and son behave themselves.

Bob Rodgers, S.W.A.G. - illustrator

Bob Rodgers is a freelance artist living in the Midwest.  You can read freelance as:  "I have no formal training and can't make a living from doing artwork full time".  When he isn't working on  his website he is counting the days until his plan for world domination nears completion.  Or sleeping. Bob is the webmaster of the fine sw-rpg site Raptor Squad, the Baron Administrator of the Star Wars Artist's Guild, and Art Director for starwars-rpg.net's Online Journal.

email

Pete 'Shadowdeep' Schlough, S.W.A.G. - illustrator

Pete is a recovering RPGamer, having rolled his last bag of dice nearly 3 years ago. This was about the time that he was seduced to the graphic design side, and abandoned all hopes of becoming a true illustrator. But then a cold and distant voice reached deep into the heart of New York state. It beckoned Pete to 'whip up a few pics' for some infernal dog and pony show called an 'Elrood Sector website.' Foolishly, he said yes, and now he's up past his eyeballs in oil paint, dutifully fulfilling his master's demands for more art. But hey, he's finally getting that huge breakthrough into publishing, even if it is in Canada. Pete's official site can be found right here.

email

Paul Swain - illustrator

Paul exploded onto the comics scene in 1990. Unfortunately nobody noticed and Paul has spent the time since skateboarding and barely scraping a living in the Outer Rim Territories of Cardiff in the UK. Despite the influence of The dark Side on his life, Paul in no way senses the distant, sickening rumble of the future galloping towards him on a life path that so far seems to have accrued very little in the way personal achievement. He's fine with it. Honestly. Paul is currently working on a large superhero project and a number of smaller independent outings.

email

I. J. Thompson - gamemaster, webmaster

I. J. Thompson is a professional actor and musician who currently lives on the frozen, desolate plains of the ice-world Hoth (Edmonton, Alberta, Canada). He's been playing the Star Wars Roleplaying Game since its first edition and, just for the record, is not at all worried about the fate of the sw-rpg in the hands of WotC (having once tried to play the Aliens rpg by Leading Edge, he no longer fears any evil). I. J. T. is currently kept busy juggling acting, home recording, writing, and pestering his agent to get him cast in Episode III.

email

Sean Thompson - player, Itar Grendling

Sean's been playing Star Wars for a number of years, after having come to it from D&D. He's not only a player in the campaign, but is also the technical guru without whose skills and input Elrood Sector would probably not have been possible.

email

Allan Whincup - illustrator

Allan Whincup is the light side counterpart to Dave Myatt. He is currently a Fine Arts student at the University of Alberta, and has several projects on the go. You can find more of his work at his online gallery, in Jawa Force or in the Awesome Outpost, which can be found at any comics con where there is an Awesome Entertainment table set up. Most often, his art can be found underneath the indelible inks of Mr. Myatt. Allan likes cheese.
