Captain's Log:

<<37:5:8/NOV.DRA/CAP.LOG/>>

Even now, 2 days after the encounter with the Dark Star and her slaving crew, things still have not returned to what passes for normal amongst the Nova Dragons. Morrez hasn't spoken to anyone in that period, he simply stands behind Kal and Samic as they try to decrypt the mountain of data we took from the slavers mainframe. Kribaczek has the Hammer looking cleaner and better maintained than I can remember. Kal muttered something to me about "obsessive" behaviour. At least Krib hasn't pulled a blaster on anyone. Yet!

The longer we remain out of action, the worse I fear things will become. I cannot hide the damage these slavers have done to some of the men and women under my command, but I can try to ease the pain. Action will help to ease some of the tension. Hopefully at least until we have something more concrete to work with in an effort to track down what remains of Morrez' family.

As of 0600 tomorrow, we set course for the Ringali Shell. No more exercising. This time it will be for real. In consultation with Major Saxs, I have planned in a couple of stops en route. We can use them to establish our identity among the local spacers, let them spread the word about the new Imperial Customs Vessel in the sector. I just hope we're ready for the path we're now treading…
