Niles Riddick - Smuggler Captain

Niles is a human male who was born and raised on Bala, a planet in the Darpa Sector. He stands 1.78m tall and is of medium build. Now in his early forties, his black hair is beginning to go grey but he still has a full head of hair. He has dull green eyes and a neatly trimmed goatee beard. Niles is generally mild mannered and can be quite charming. However, he's not averse to being aggressive, as long as he is in control of the battlefield and the odds are in his favour. He won't raise a hand, unless attacked, if he knows the odds are stacked against him, and he can even be quite submissive in such a situation. Niles has an excellent memory for faces and holds a grudge against any man who gets the better of him.

Little is known of his early life other than his Bala origin. However, for the last two decades he's been a successful smuggler operating in the Ringali Shell. The last six of those years have been spent with the Prancer, his highly modified Action IV freighter.

The Prancer's crew are totally loyal to their captain and are primarily made up up of humans and near-humans. The first mate is a Wookie called Krinaarr, who Niles bought from a slaver several years ago. On receiving him, Niles immediately released him and offered him a place aboard the Prancer. Krinaarr willingly accepted the offer and they've been firm friends ever since. Niles, knowing that he operates in an Imperial dominated region, has retained Krinaarr's slave documents to use as cover.

A recent run in with the Imperial Customs vessel Hammer has left Niles in deep financial trouble and he has not been seen since....
