Miranda Stardock

Character Type: NPC
Character Name: Miranda Stardock
Occupation: Blockade Runner
Species: Human
Gender: Female
Age: 28
Height: 1.6m
Weight: 62Kg

Description: Miranda is of slight build and has a pale complexion with blue eyes and blonde hair. Whilst she has a commanding presence despite her diminutive figure, she is quite friendly and easy to approach. She can be quite stubborn at times, a trait she inherited from her father. An effective leader, who prefers to use stealth and cunning, rather than direct confrontation.

Background: Although Miranda was born on Abregado-Rae, a planet in the Abregado system, she grew up aboard the 'Shadow', her father's modified Corellian Corvette. Miranda didn't know her mother as she died shortly after giving birth to her. Miranda's father, Kao Stardock, was a famed smuggler. Kao saw to Miranda's educational needs and by the age of 14 she was able to pilot the Shadow like an extension of her body. Miranda inherited her father's incredible starfighter piloting skills and at the age of 17 was flying a Headhunter as an escort for the Shadow.

Kao was training Miranda to take over the business when the Empire came to power, at this time she was second in command of the Shadow. Shortly before her training was complete (approximately 3 weeks before the 'Battle of Yavin') Kao was apprehended by Imperial Customs Officers on Balmorra, in the gunfight that followed Kao was killed, taking a number of Imperials with him. At the time Miranda was off doing a "job" in a differnet part of the Galaxy and wasn't informed of her father's death until she returned some three weeks later. The Empire had made an enemy forever by taking away her father and her idol, for that they would pay dearly.

On that fateful day Miranda chose the life of a Blockade-Runner, indirectly hurting the Empire for their crime. Miranda is currently one of the most sought after Blockade-Runners by both the Empire and the Alliance, although for two completely different reasons.
