The Crew Ensign Alyssa Diariat I know Alyssa and Chaide have had their differences over the months, but overall I see that as a positive, pushing each to continually hone their skills to maintain whatever perceived advantage they feel they have over the other. The Nova Dragons can only be served well by such a competition. Recent events have thrown all this progress out of the airlock. The drug induced killing frenzy that Alyssa went on has changed her in some way. I'm not sure what happened, The Force doesn't allow me particularly accurate insights into these areas, but Alyssa has always seemed to be carrying a burden with her. She has always tried to hide it, and has hidden it well, but I haven't done as well in business as I have without being able to notice signs of tension and strain. The signs of concealment. I know from Aaron that she has opened up at least some of her dark past to him, though I respect that he is holding that conversation in confidence. What she has said to me is that after the event on the space station, she needs to take time to find herself again, recompile that veneer of civilisation that covers the ravening beast within us all. I hope that by assigning her to Syl's detached mission that she can begin the healing process in a limited environment, with a view to rejoining the Hammer in the not too distant future. Our mission is not under threat in her absence, but it does impose a greater burden on those remaining to pick up the slack, and perhaps develop new skills at a faster pace than is truly comfortable.
