Whilst en route to the abandoned Imperial space station, Kal and Samic manage to decrypt some of the information stored on the computer core recovered from the slavers' base (See Episode II). Most of the information they found was of no real relevance, however, they did manage to decipher the sales ledger and uncovered the identity of the buyer that bought Morrez's mother. The buyer is simply known as 'Bald Eagle'.

Also during the trip Samic unearthed several rumours regarding their destination. He also identified the station as Waypoint class, a rather old but still widely used Imperial model. Together with Aaron, he was able to locate a set of deck plans from the Hammer's database.

Kethan, following the advice of Kribaczek and Aaron, decided that the Hammer would drop a boarding party off at the Waypoint station whilst the Hammer returned to the Fyris system to be refuelled. This would leave the boarding party alone for approximately 24 hours. It was also decided that Aaron would lead the boarding team, which would consist of JD, Alyssa, Raggy, Kribaczek, Zulah and a team of five engineers.
